A Brief History

Mike’s Sports was established by the Augoustides family in 1949. Nick Augoustides was the driving force behind the
business and later introduced his three sons Alex, Mike and Casey into the business.
 
The company carries the identity of a teamwear specialist outfit with special emphasis on soccer and also catering for casual wear with a ‘sports’ feel. It is well known for its expertise in apparel and has been a household name amongst soccer players since it’s inception.
 
The current owners Mike and Casey have their operation based in Cape Town, but operate on a national scale and are currently one of the leading suppliers of soccer merchandise in South Africa.
 
Mike’s Sports have a vision to be the undisputed #1 niche specialists in soccer in South Africa. This they achieve by growing distribution whilst maintaining their efficiency in terms of quality, cost and delivery.
 
The business has earned the reputation for supply of quality product at reasonable prices, and is fast becoming recognized as the interface of choice for players, teams, schools, clubs, spectators, companies and in general all sporting enthusiasts wishing to be involved with soccer.
